Amazon A+ Content (formerly Enhanced Brand Content) is available to brand-registered sellers and lets you add enhanced visuals, comparison charts, and narrative sections below the fold. The question every seller asks: is it worth the time and cost?

The official Amazon data

Amazon claims A+ Content can increase sales by up to 8% on average and up to 20% for Premium A+ Content. These numbers are averages across millions of listings and should be treated as directional, not guaranteed.

The real ROI question

The honest answer is: A+ Content ROI depends entirely on your above-the-fold image quality. If your 7 listing images are weak — failing the RUFUS test, missing lifestyle context, no size reference — most buyers never scroll to A+ Content. The return on fixing your primary images will far exceed the return on A+ Content for those listings.

Conversely, if your primary images score 80+ on VAS and RUFUS is largely satisfied by your images and bullets, A+ Content can meaningfully convert the remaining 10–15% of buyer objections that arise from deeper consideration.

Our recommended sequence: Get your VAS Score to 80+ first. Then invest in A+ Content. Not the other way around.

When to prioritise A+ Content

  • Your listing is already in the top 3 for primary keywords
  • Your primary images score 78+ on VAS
  • Your category has high research intent (buyers spend more time reading)
  • You have a strong brand story worth telling
  • You're launching a new product and have the budget to invest in both simultaneously

Premium A+ Content: is it worth it?

Premium A+ (available to invite-only sellers with strong review history) adds video, interactive elements, and hotspot modules. The additional 5–12% lift over standard A+ can justify the investment for established ASINs with 500+ reviews and stable organic ranking.
