Amazon Manage Your Experiments (MYE) is available to brand-registered sellers and allows you to run controlled A/B tests on listing content including images, titles, and A+ Content. Used correctly, it's one of the highest-ROI optimisation tools available — but most sellers use it wrong.

What you can test with MYE

  • Main hero image (the highest-impact test)
  • Main title
  • A+ Content modules
  • Hero image plus secondary image together

MYE requires at least 100 unique sessions per day to generate statistically significant results within a reasonable timeframe (typically 4–12 weeks). Low-traffic ASINs won't generate enough data for reliable conclusions.

How to run a meaningful image test

The most common MYE mistake: testing two images that are similar (same angle, slight lighting difference) and then wondering why there's no statistical winner. Meaningful tests compare significantly different approaches: new hero angle vs. current, lifestyle-influenced hero vs. pure studio, tight crop vs. wider composition.

Test one variable at a time. If you change the hero image AND the title simultaneously, you won't know which change drove the result.

Setting success metrics

MYE measures click-through rate and add-to-cart rate by default. For most sellers, add-to-cart rate is the more meaningful metric — it reflects buyers who engaged enough to consider purchasing, not just those who clicked from search.

Using VAS scores to generate test hypotheses

Your VAS scan results are a hypothesis generator. Low mobile thumbnail score? Test a new hero with better mobile composition. Low lifestyle context score? Test adding a lifestyle element to your secondary images. The scan gives you a prioritised list of experiments to run.
